inTEC Group announces appointment of Kevin Hayward as Director of inTEC Education to support strategic growth across the UK Education Sector
inTEC Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Hayward as Director of inTEC Education, marking a significant milestone in the company’s continued expansion and capability development across the UK education technology sector.
Joining the leadership team at a pivotal point in the organisation’s growth journey, Kevin will play a central role in strengthening inTEC’s position as a trusted provider of fully integrated, future‑ready technology solutions for schools, colleges, and multi‑site education environments nationwide. His remit includes supporting institutions as they work towards the Department for Education (DfE) digital and technology core standards by 2030 – covering areas such as wireless networks, network switching, broadband, filtering & monitoring, cyber security, and digital leadership & governance.
In addition to IT Support, Cloud Services, Cyber Security, Communications, Infrastructure, Technology Consultancy and AI, inTEC’s specialist delivery teams provide audiovisual, CCTV, structured cabling, door access, school tannoy systems, project management, and end‑to‑end consultancy for new school build projects under the School Rebuilding Programme (SRP). This enables education leaders to engage a single, independent partner to design, deliver and operate secure, resilient digital estates that underpin modern teaching and operational continuity.
Explicit support for SRP outcomes
The DfE’s School Rebuilding Programme (SRP) is replacing or refurbishing buildings at hundreds of schools and is designed to deliver net‑zero‑in‑operation facilities. Achieving this goal relies on robust digital infrastructure – for example, efficient, centrally managed Wi‑Fi, smart building controls, secure switching, and standards‑compliant cabling that together reduce energy waste, enable modern teaching spaces, and support safe, reliable operations. inTEC’s integrated services are aligned to these priorities to help trusts and schools realise SRP benefits from day one.
Kevin Hayward, Director of inTEC Education, said:
“Education leaders need partners who can deliver secure connectivity, reliable classroom technology and measurable value. I’m excited to build on inTEC’s strong foundation to help schools and trusts move faster on network modernisation, classroom experience and cyber resilience – while aligning with the DfE roadmap to meet the six core standards by 2030 and supporting SRP’s net‑zero‑in‑operation ambitions with dependable, energy‑aware digital infrastructure.”
Melissa Rambridge, Group CEO, inTEC Group, said:
“Kevin’s appointment marks the next chapter in our education strategy. By unifying consulting, engineering and managed services, we can design, deploy and run integrated environments – helping schools achieve reliable Wi‑Fi, robust switching, compliant cabling and secure digital services in line with DfE expectations and the demands of modern, efficient school buildings. Kevin’s focus on the customer experience compliments the core of our ethos that is centered ensuring customer-led strategy and growth at all times, above all else.
