What is Cyber Essentials?

Cyber Essentials provides two levels of certification:

  • Cyber Essentials
A self-assessment option that protects against a wide range of common cyber-attacks. Certification reassures customers that your defences are strong enough to stop the majority of threats.
  • Cyber Essentials Plus
Includes all the requirements of Cyber Essentials, plus a hands-on technical audit. This rigorous assessment verifies your security measures through external and internal vulnerability scans.

Both options are suitable for organisations of any size or sector.

Why Get Certified?

Cyber Essentials certification isn’t just a tick-box exercise – it’s a powerful way to strengthen your organisation and build trust. Here’s why it matters:

  • Build Customer Confidence
Show clients and partners that you take cyber security seriously and actively protect their data.
  • Win More Business
Stand out from competitors with proof of robust security measures – often a deciding factor in procurement.
  • Know Where You Stand
Gain a clear, actionable picture of your organisation’s cyber security posture and areas for improvement.
  • Meet Compliance Requirements
Increasingly, government contracts and supply chain tenders demand Cyber Essentials certification. Stay eligible and ahead of the curve.
