Role Profile

 

The Bid Writer & Marketing Coordinator will support the preparation of tender submissions, framework applications, proposals, customer case studies, award submissions and marketing content across the business.

 

Working closely with the Bid & Contracts Director and wider Education team, the successful candidate will receive structured training and mentoring to develop into a highly capable bid professional. Over time, they will learn how to manage the full bid lifecycle, coordinate multiple stakeholders, develop compelling marketing content, and produce high-quality customer facing documentation.

 

This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with strong written communication skills, attention to detail and a willingness to learn, who is looking to build a long term career within bid management, marketing and business development. Attention to detail and high organisational skills are more important that any formal qualifications.

  • Annual Leave: 29 days per annum (including bank holidays)
  • Salary: Up to £44,500 per annum (depending on experience) – comprising salary and commission
  • Conditions: Full clean driving licence required

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of tender responses, framework applications, PQQs, SQs and ITTs.
  • Support the development of written responses, ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Research customer requirements, evaluation criteria and procurement documentation.
  • Gather information from technical, operational, commercial and management teams to support submissions.
  • Coordinate the collection of evidence, accreditations, policies, certifications, references and supporting documents.
  • Produce and maintain case studies, testimonials, customer references and success stories.
  • Support the creation of award submissions and industry recognition applications.
  • Assist with website content creation, marketing campaigns, event coordination, email communications and sales collateral.
  • Maintain document libraries, bid content databases and opportunity tracking systems.
  • Monitor procurement portals and identify relevant bid opportunities.
  • Review documentation for quality, formatting and presentation before submission.
  • Attend internal meetings and training sessions to develop bid writing, marketing and commercial knowledge.

  • Support the continued growth of the Education division through high quality bid and marketing activities.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling customer and company information.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across sales, technical, project delivery, operations and management teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for bid processes, document management and knowledge sharing.
  • Promote and maintain the company’s values, standards and reputation in all communications.
  • Represent the business professionally when interacting with customers, suppliers and procurement organisations.
  • Support the development and maintenance of framework applications, customer references and corporate documentation.
  • Take ownership of personal learning and development activities to build bid, marketing and industry knowledge.

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in bid writing, proposal writing, marketing or business administration.
  • Experience creating multi-level documentation and collating information from multiple subject matter experts to produce a complete and cohesive response.
  • Experience researching and presenting information in a structured and logical format.
  • Experience reviewing documentation for quality, accuracy and compliance.
