- Job Title: Project Manager (Education & Build)
- Base Location: Hybrid / UK Wide Travel (Manchester HQ and customer sites as required)

- Salary: £50-65K depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Manage multiple concurrent projects ranging from £10k to £1m+ in value.
- Own project delivery from initiation through to closure.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules.
- Coordinate project resources, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and third-party contractors.
- Ensure projects are delivered to agreed scope, timescales, budgets, and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks and issues.
Customer Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project delivery.
- Lead project kick-off meetings, progress reviews, and close-out meetings.
- Build strong relationships with school leadership teams, trust stakeholders, main contractors, and consultants.
- Provide regular project updates and executive-level reporting.
Commercial Management
- Monitor project budgets and profitability.
- Manage project variations, change requests, and scope amendments.
- Review quotations, purchase orders, and supplier costs.
- Support project forecasting and revenue recognition processes.
Resource Management
- Coordinate engineering resources with PMO and operational teams.
- Ensure appropriate skills and capacity are available to deliver project requirements.
- Manage subcontractor performance and compliance.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
- Review and approve RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
- Support CDM compliance where applicable.
- Ensure site activities are completed safely and in accordance with industry standards.
- Support quality assurance and project governance frameworks.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain project documentation throughout the lifecycle.
- Produce and manage:
- Project Plans
- Scope of Works
- Risk Registers
- RAID Logs
- Financial Trackers
- Change Requests
- Progress Reports
- Lessons Learned Documentation
- Ensure project records are accurate and audit ready.
Typical Project Types
The Project Manager will typically oversee:
- School and Multi-Academy Trust ICT refresh programmes
- Wireless network deployment
- Switching and routing projects
- Structured cabling installations
- Aruba, Microsoft and cloud migration projects
- Server room relocations
- Interactive display and AV deployments

- Building refurbishment technology works
- Security and infrastructure upgrade

Required Skills & Experience
Essential
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing ICT, infrastructure, construction, or technology projects
- Strong project planning and scheduling skills.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven stakeholder management capability.
- Strong commercial awareness and financial management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency with:
– Microsoft Project
– Microsoft 365
– Excel
– Teams
– Project Management tools
Desirable
- Experience delivering projects in Education environments
- Experience working alongside main contractors and construction teams
- Understanding of structured cabling infrastructure.
- Knowledge of networking technologies including Aruba, Cisco, Meraki or equivalent
- Experience managing AV or classroom technology projects.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
