The inTEC Group are delighted to have secured Gold Membership of the Big Goal initiative for 2026, extending our support for the programme to a third year.
The Big Goal is a charitable campaign, led by the Street Soccer Foundation, committed to harnessing the collaboration of the IT sector to support young people enduring difficult challenges in life through the power of football.
As a Gold Member, inTEC will once again be the full sponsor of a Street Soccer Academy cohort, giving 10 young people an opportunity to benefit from an award-winning, 12-week programme designed to build the skills and confidence they need to find employment, education opportunities and ultimately lasting success.
The young people inTEC will be sponsoring may be homeless, at risk of homelessness or struggling with being Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET). The Street Soccer Foundation has an excellent track record of delivering positive outcomes for its participants, who benefit from a blend of employability, personal wellbeing and football coaching – a mix which delivers a joint focus on physical and mental health, building for the future and the freedom to enjoy playing football.
Each Academy has a direct link to a professional football club, with inTEC being paired with local club Salford City and Premier League Everton in previous years. The support of the football pyramid shows the potential of The Street Soccer Foundation, and inTEC is proud to be a part of its continued mission to support young people facing difficult challenges up and down the country.
As well as seeing the direct impact our sponsorship will have on a group of young people, our support for the campaign allows the inTEC Group to once again enter The Big Goal National Tournament. The Tournament, which comprises Regional Qualifying and then a National Finals event at The Home of England Football, St George’s Park, brings together all of the corporate sponsors of the campaign for a celebration of the power of the sport and the collective good which can be achieved – not to mention the opportunity to compete on England’s state-of-the-art training pitches in front of the Sky Sports News cameras at the National Finals.
In our first year, we saw our inTEC South team make the National Finals and, after competing well but failing to qualify last year, both North and South teams will be hoping to take inTEC back to St George’s Park this year.
We are proud to have been a part of the Big Goal journey from the beginning and are excited to see the continued growth of the initiative throughout the sector. We hope to see more of our industry partners join the likes of ourselves and Headline Sponsors Giacom in this great opportunity to harness the power of our sector to make a real difference in our communities – and we look forward to seeing the whole Big Goal community on the pitch at the Regional Qualifiers in the Spring!
