Role profile
The Systems Administrator supports the organisation’s business transformation initiatives by managing and optimising IT systems, maintaining secure and stable environments, and ensuring data integrity across platforms. This role involves hands-on system configuration, troubleshooting, patch management, and user support, while coordinating with teams to drive efficient, technology-enabled business operations.
Day-to-day responsibilities
System Support
- Assist in the day-to-day support, configuration and maintenance of internal system
- Respond to user enquiries and provide support for system issues (Group Support)
- Support implementation and management of cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune).
- Manage endpoint security and compliance policies through Intune or similar MDM solutions.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual administrative processes.
- Create and maintain dashboards for system health, performance metrics, or project KPIs.
- Follow and enforce change control procedures to ensure safe and controlled system updates.
Systems & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee system upgrades, patches, and deployment schedules to minimise downtime.
- Manage user access, permissions, and security settings across systems.
- Implement and monitor system backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
- Support migration or integration efforts between legacy systems and new platforms.
- Optimise infrastructure performance and resource utilisation (servers, storage, and network components).
Documentation and Reporting
- Document and analyse existing business processes, workflows, and data structures.
- Generate reports and data analysis to support decision-making related to transformation initiatives.
Communication and Coordination
- Assist in developing and implementing communication plans for the transformation.
- Coordinate activities among different teams and departments involved in the transformation.
Project Management Support
- Provide administrative support to Business Transformation Team.
- Assist in scheduling meetings, planning sessions, and tracking project timelines.
Data Management
- Manage and maintain data related to the transformation process.
- Analyse data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Department and company responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the rest of your team and the wider Group.
- Submit weekly/monthly order reports.
- Develop and maintain product and market knowledge with an eye to future trends and upcoming technologies.
- Demonstrate ongoing commitment to personal development.
- Execute the role in accordance with inTEC’s vision and values.
Personal attributes and experience
- 3–5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role.
- Competent in Microsoft Windows environments and Microsoft 365 (Office 365) administration.
- Hands-on experience managing system patching, updates, and backups to ensure secure and reliable operations.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manage data effectively.
- Experience with system configuration, troubleshooting, and basic scripting (e.g., PowerShell) is desirable.
- System-specific training will be provided by inTEC.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
